A plain-language guide
How Apotela Tarot works
1. Choose a reading
Start with a daily card or choose a guided spread for a question or area of reflection.
2. Draw your cards
The app draws from the 78-card deck. Each position gives a card context within the spread.
3. Explore the meanings
Read the card’s upright or reversed meaning, keywords, traditional context and reflection prompt.
4. Save your reflection
Save the reading with your own note in the journal. You can pin an entry and reopen its original layout.
What is a tarot spread?
A spread is an arrangement of cards in which each position has a role. The position helps you consider a card's meaning in relation to your question and the other cards.
What do upright and reversed cards mean?
Each card has distinct upright and reversed meanings. Apotela presents the meaning for the card's orientation alongside keywords and prompts, leaving room for your own reflection.
A note about readings
